KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 15

The year-on-year consumer price inflation stood at 5.32 per cent in the fourth month of 2021-22 compared to 4.05 per cent a year ago, according to the latest macroeconomic update unveiled by the Nepal Rastra Bank on Wednesday.

Food and beverage inflation stood at 4.79 per cent whereas non-food and service inflation stood at 5.73 per cent in the review month. In the review month, the Kathmandu valley, Tarai, hills and mountains recorded 6.14 per cent, 3.95 per cent, 7.14 percent and five per cent inflation respectively.

Inflation in these regions was 3.39 per cent, 4.69 per cent, 3.64 per cent and 4.32 per cent respectively a year ago.
