Crude cost pushes bullion prices up

Kathmandu, July 21:

Gold price in the local bullion market has gone up by Rs 165 per 10 gram this week. The trading of precious yellow metal that opened at Rs 14,355 per 10 gram on Sunday closed at Rs 14,520 on Friday.

The gold price rose due to the rise in crude prices in the international market, says Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

In the international market, the gold price rose to $775 per ounce this week from $666

a week ago.

The price of silver, however, dropped by a rupee per 10 gram from the opening Rs 292.5 to Rs 291.5 on the last trading day of the week, according to the association.
