KATHMANDU: Gurans Life Insurance Co Ltd has paid the death claim to the family of the deceased amidst a programme in Pyuthan.
The company has handed over a cheque worth Rs 1.3 million to the family of Manipal Budha Magar, a resident of Ward No 5 of Paribartar Rural Municipality of Rolpa, who lost his life in the process of foreign employment, as per a media release.
Mohan Lal Kunwar, regional head of Nepalgunj Regional Office, handed over the cheque to Rasti Roka, the deceased's wife. Her husband had taken out term life insurance in Gurans Life Insurance.
Rasti has also put aside some of the amount received from the death claim payment for her future. The firm also provided Rasti with insurance policy of Gurans Jeevan Rakshak Beema Yojana worth Rs 410,000.
