Dhungana, Shah and Kshatri felicitated
KATHMANDU: Management Association of Nepal (MAN) — an umbrella organisation of management professionals in the country — has felicitated Gyanendra Dhungana, CEO of Nepal Bangladesh Bank, with the ‘Manager of the Year-2015’ award. MAN has been extending the award to top management professionals during its annual day celebration since a few years. MAN has also felicitated former energy secretary Rajendra Kishore Kshatri with ‘MAN Recognition Award’ for his outstanding contribution while he held the post. Kshatri had played a crucial role in finalising Project Development Agreement (PDA) and Power Trade Agreement (PTA) with India. MAN Recognition Award is extended to civil servants displaying outstanding performance. Likewise, Anju Singh Shah, who works in the sector of garbage management, was honoured with the ‘Woman Manager Recognition Award’. MAN also felicitated Dil Bahadur Karki, president of Society for Solidarity of Disabled People, Nepal with ‘Outstanding Management Award’. President Bidhya Devi Bhandari handed over the awards during the annual day celebration of MAN on Friday. Award selection committee was led by Vice Chairman of MAN Rajan Thapa. MAN aims to develop the institution as a think-tank in the coming days, as per its Acting President Sushil Bhatta.
