KATHMANDU: Stating prevention is better than cure, Dr Fixit — a leading brand for water-proofing solutions — has urged homeowners to carry out waterproofing before monsoons.

“This not only protects the structure from extreme rainfall but also saves cost of recurrent repairs and hassle in terms of breakage and weakening,” as per a media release.

Monsoon can create problems for homeowners when it leads to damp walls, cracks on ceilings and walls. These conditions pose health concerns as dampness and cracks lead to growth of fungus, moulds and algae.
