KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress central member Dr Ram Sharan Mahat on Sunday said the future constitution will ensure trade union rights. Speaking at a workshop organized by Nepal Trade Union Congress (Independent) on ‘Trade Unions’ Role in New Constitution’, Dr Mahat said the new constitution will address the trade unions’ concerns.

He said the old kind of state-controlled socialism had failed and industries run by the state were bankrupt. He added that industries are suffering due to violence unleashed by criminal forces.
