Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort Dhulikhel has appointed Ankit Sharma as its new General Manager, entrusting him with leading the luxury resort's next phase of growth and guest experience enhancement.

Sharma assumes the position after serving as Hotel Manager at the property, where he played a key role in strengthening service standards, operational efficiency and overall guest satisfaction, according to a statement issued by the resort.

With more than 18 years of hospitality industry experience across Nepal and India, Sharma has previously held leadership roles with international hotel brands including Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. His expertise covers hotel operations, commercial strategy, revenue management and brand development.

Commenting on his appointment, Sharma said he looked forward to building on the resort's achievements and further positioning Dhulikhel as a leading luxury destination in Nepal.

"I am honoured to take on the role of General Manager and continue my journey with this exceptional property. I look forward to enhancing our offerings and strengthening Dhulikhel's position as a premier luxury destination," he said.

The resort said Sharma will focus on elevating guest experiences, developing talent and reinforcing Dusit's signature hospitality standards.

Located in the Himalayan foothills of Kavrepalanchok district, about an hour's drive from Kathmandu and near the sacred Namo Buddha Monastery, Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort Dhulikhel features 72 rooms and suites, including 18 private villas.

The luxury property offers wellness facilities under the Devarana Wellness brand, multiple dining venues, an infinity pool, fitness and spa facilities, and event spaces for conferences, weddings and social gatherings.

The appointment comes as Nepal's hospitality sector continues to expand its premium tourism offerings amid growing demand for high-end wellness and leisure experiences.
