Egyptian experts to give multi-support
Kathmandu, October 31:
The three-day International Ministerial Conference on Avian Pandemic Influenza at Saran El Sheikh in Egypt concluded successfully. It was decided that the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture will send a group of representatives to Nepal to discover various fields in which to provide support.
According to a press statement issued after the conference, multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral agencies agreed to work jointly to contain Avian Pandemic Influenza.
The participants were also informed about different initiatives taken in Nepal against bird flu and the support given by various international organizations to avoid its outbreak here.
A Nepali delegation led by Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MoAC) Jayaprakash Gupta and MoAC secretary Tek Bahadur Thapa attended the conference that was held at Saran El Sheikh from October 24 to 26 in Egypt.
