FNCCI to organise investment summit

Kathmandu, July 23

The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has announced that it will organise an investment summit in September in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry. The summit, which will be organised in Kathmandu, aims to attract Indian investment in Nepal.

Unveiling the achievements of the first 100 days since the new executive committee was appointed at FNCCI, largest private sector umbrella body has said that FNCCI has been advocating for an investment friendly legal framework in the country and is working in close coordination with the government.

FNCCI has also announced that it will establish an investment and trade promotion unit at FNCCI with cooperation of the Indian embassy in Kathmandu. The private sector umbrella body has also announced of organising the ‘Cross Border Trade and Tourism Expo’ jointly with the West Bengal government in August and employment promotion and women strengthening programmes with support of the International Labour Organisation and other development agencies.

FNCCI also announced that it will work in the sector of human resources development and promote innovation in the coming days.
