FeNeGoSiDA, FNGSGJA ink merger pact

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FeNeGoSiDA) and the Federation of Nepal Gold, Silver, Gem and Jewellery Association (FNGSGJA) have signed an agreement to merge both the organisations.
The merger agreement between the two organisations was signed between Mohan Kumar Sunar, president of FeNeGoSiDA, and Ramesh Maharjan, president of FNGSGJA.
However, FeNeGoSiDA and FNGSGJA are yet to finalise the date to begin the unified operation.
After signing the agreement, both Sunar and Maharjan said that the merger between the two organisations was necessary to incorporate all the jewellery entrepreneurs of the country under one umbrella organisation and address different issues seen in the domestic jewellery business together.
Following the agreement, Sunar said that the new unified organisation will work for the betterment of jewellery entrepreneurs, promote jewellery business in the country, enhance export of the product and increase the contribution of gold and silver jewellery business in the overall economy of the country.
