KATHMANDU, MAY 27

The Government of Nepal is set to unveil the budget for fiscal year 2021/22, through an ordinance, on Saturday.

It has been learnt that the new budget will be presented from Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singhadurbar, by Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, at 4:00 pm.

Even as the House of Representatives remains dissolved, it is the government's constitutional obligation to present the budget by May 29 (Jestha 15).

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, other members of the Council of Ministers, vice-chair of the National Planning Commission, Governor of the Nepal Rashtra Bank, among others, will be present at the budget unveiling programme.
