Insurance awareness seminar conducted in Naya Bazaar

KATHMANDU: Jyoti Life Insurance Company Limited on Saturday conducted a seminar to build financial awareness among the locals and community members in Naya Bazaar, Sorhakhutte area, KMC-16.

The company’s Sorhakhutte branch manager Alok Anamol Upreti organised the programme in coordination with Sorhakhutte Pahiko Area Consumers’ Committee, local Mahila Samuha (women's group) and Pahiko Youth Club.

In the programme, Jyoti Life's area sales manager Sapoot Chandra Khanal highlighted the benefits from the services provided by insurance companies in Nepal. He opined that financial schemes like insurance were, basically, a protection against economic consequence of loss on human life. He briefed about the schemes of Jyoti Life and discussed the benefits of investing in the company. Key services such as saving money, loan, education for children, tax benefits were also discussed during the interaction held in the programme.

Likewise, guest of the seminar, president of Unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Rastrabadi's (URPP-R) youth wing, Fani Raj Lohani (Raju) said that the gathering of youth for discussing financial benefits and saving money was a sign of development. He stressed the need of networking for financial benefit.

Similarly, URPP-R's General Secretary Bharat Jung Upreti expressed his gratitude towards all present in the seminar. He said that the expertised discussion held in the seminar was beneficial, and stressed the need for unity for financial development. He argued that one could get different benefits from insurance in comparison to the bank.

Also present in the meeting were President of Pahiko Youth Club Nirmal Maharjan, Co-chairpersons of Mahila Samuha Asha Shakya, local residents and ward members.
