NEPALGUNJ: More than 7,000 persons in Banke district have applied to get the benefits of the Self-Employment Programme. Of them, 40 per cent are women and the deadline to submit applications is Friday, said Rabi Devkota, officer at Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce. The government will provide loan up to Rs 2,00,000 from the banks and financial institutions without collateral to unemployed youths and thus develop entrepreneurship to speed up economic development. The programme has got overwhelming response from jobless youths with most aged between 20 to 30.
