FNCCI annual general meeting today
Kathmandu, June 2 :
The 41st annual general meeting (AGM) of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is convening in Kathmandu on June 3-4.
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala is scheduled to open the AGM of the apex body of Nepal’s private sector tomorrow at the Birendra International Convention Centre (BICC) and Speaker Subash Nemwang will address the gathering as a special guest.
According to FNCCI, representatives of various district chambers, industrial institutions and business bodies will take part in the meeting. The meeting will have deliberations for long-lasting peace in the country as well as economic prosperity through industrial, commercial and trading activities. The leaders of various political parties — including Maoists chairman Prachanda — are scheduled to address the meet, in which the private sector is expected to build a consensus among the political for-ces on their common agenda.
