Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has decided to give away FNCCI National Excellence Award 2062 during the 40th convention of the FNCCI in a bid to promote performance excellence — for sustainable growth and development of the institutions through information sharing on policies, strategies and benefits — of the successful institutions.

Ajad Shrestha, vice-president of FNCCI said that following the membership of World Trade Organisation (WTO), Nepal has to face enormous challenges to make its economy competitive. “Business excellence is an urgent need to compete in the WTO regime,” he added.

Bijay Bahadur Shrestha, chairman of Quality and Productivity Committee of FNCCI said that the objective of establishing the award was to boost sustainable and institutional development of the industries and business enterprises. “It will motivate businessmen,” he said.
