FNCCI president urges not to call strike, blockade

Rupandehi, August 26:

Chandi Raj Dhakal, president of FNCCI urged not to call strike and blockade, speaking at an interaction on ‘Current Situation and Role of the FNCCI’ organised by Butwal Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) here yesterday. “Problem of unemployment has been increasing and there is a risk of displacement of means and resources from the country as private sector is continuously disrupted.”

“The economic growth of Sri Lanka, which is also hit by conflict, is six per cent,” he said adding that however, the figure of Nepal is only two per cent. “The economic sector is in miserable condition and insecure,” he said. “Political instability is also creating problem to the private sector.” He urged the local of chambers to develop and promote job-oriented industries coordinating with local bodies and civil society.

Anandaraj Mulmi, former FNCCI president also spoke on the occasion.
