KATHMANDU: General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) — during the celebration of its 20 years of transformation — has urged the government to ratify the 87th convention of International Labor Organisation. According to GEFONT, ILO has addressed a majority of labour issues but the only point that remains to be taken into concern is the 87th convention.

Speaking on the occasion, Constituent Assembly speaker Subash Chandra Nembang assured that the CA has confirmed the general proposal on labour issues. During the programme, GEFONT also announced the initiation of GEFONT Smriti Fund.
