Gionee in Itahari
KATHMANDU: Gionee, one of the leading mobile brands in Nepal, opened its fourth exclusive showroom in Itahari on Tuesday. The showroom was inaugurated by Miss Nepal 2016, Asmi Shrestha. In a press statement, Gionee said that it believes the showroom will help customers get acquainted to Gionee smartphones prior to the purchase, and decide on what is the right model for them. Currently, Gionee has 14 models available in the Nepali market. The company has plans to open more showrooms across Nepal, adds the statement. Along with the showroom in Itahari, Gionee also launched the Marathon M5 mini in Nepal, the latest addition to its big-battery Marathon series. The M5 mini has a five-inch HD screen with 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The major highlight of the phone is its 4000 mAh battery, which is twice the capacity of average phone batteries. The M5 mini is also able to charge devices through reverse-OTG charging. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. M5 mini has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM (expandable via microSD to 128GB).
