Global IME Bank Limited has been honored with the Best Bank Award 2025 by Global Finance Magazine, marking the second consecutive year the bank has received this prestigious international recognition.

The award identifies Global IME Bank as Nepal's Best Bank for 2025 based on various criteria, including credibility, financial resource mobilization, expansion of access, strategic partnerships, professionalism, customer-friendly services, and credit ratings. With this, the bank continues its legacy, having also received the same honor in 2024.

Chief Executive Officer Surendra Raj Regmi expressed that this recognition will further inspire the bank to offer even better services. He extended heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank, regulatory bodies, shareholders, employees, and especially the customers for their continuous trust and support.

Global Finance Magazine annually recognizes top-performing banks across major global regions, including Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean, Central America, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Western Europe. Global IME Bank is the first Nepali bank to receive this award from the magazine, which is known for honoring leading commercial and central banks around the world.

This year, Global Finance has also recognized major global banking institutions such as HSBC from Hong Kong, State Bank of India from India, China Construction Bank, UOB Malaysia, The City Bank from Bangladesh, and SMBC from Japan, among others. Global IME Bank's inclusion on this list is seen as a significant moment for Nepal's banking industry.

The bank stated that this award reaffirms its commitment to delivering innovative, reliable, and forward-looking services that meet the evolving needs of its customers. In the past, Global IME Bank has also received several national and international honors, including Bank of the Year in 2014, Best Internet Bank in 2016, Best Bank Nepal for both 2024 and 2025, Best Bank ESG Nepal 2024, and Best Employer Award.

Global IME Bank is the first private sector commercial bank in Nepal to establish a presence in all 77 districts.
