The domestic gold market soared to yet another pinnacle as it surged by Rs 700 per tola on Friday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now fetching Rs 139,300 per tola in Nepal.
This surge marks a new milestone in gold price, with the current price exceeding the previous record of Rs 139,200 per tola by just Rs 100, set on Wednesday.
Following Wednesday's high, gold saw a slight dip of Rs 600 per tola on Thursday, only to rebound strongly and set a new record today.
As per the FeNeGoSiDA, Tejabi gold is currently being traded at Rs 138,650 per tola.
In contrast, silver experienced a decline in its value, decreasing by Rs 5 to Rs 1,720 per tola, today. It had dropped by Rs 25 per tola on Thursday to reach Rs 1,725 per tola.
