The price of gold surged by Rs 1,900 per tola on Tuesday to reach a new all-time high of Rs 217,100 per tola in the domestic market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the rate was Rs 215,200 per tola on Monday.

In contrast, silver prices fell by Rs 20 per tola. Silver, which traded at Rs 2,595 per tola on Monday, is now being sold at Rs 2,575 per tola.
