KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 27

The gold price in the domestic market made another surge on Sunday, setting a new record at Rs 167,400 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the fine gold recorded an increase of Rs 1,400 per tola today, up from Rs 166,000 on Friday.

This recent surge highlights a significant pattern of price increases in the Nepali month of Kartik, with gold hitting Rs 166,700 per tola on Wednesday before a temporary decline. The gold declined to Rs 166,000 per tola on Thursday, where it remained stable through Friday.

The steady upward movement in the price aligns with global market trends.

Similarly, silver prices have also seen an uptick, increasing by Rs 15 per tola to reach Rs 2,085 per tola. The silver price was recorded at Rs 2,070 per tola on Friday.
