Gold in fluctuating mode
KATHMANDU: Gold market this week again closed at Rs 30,052 per tola, that is Rs 25,765 per 10 gram.
According to Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (NEGOSIDA), due to devaluation of the dollar in the international market compared to other currencies there is uncertainty in the trading price of gold. Gold price has been undergoing fluctuations.
This week, due to Tihar festival gold market started on Wednesday with its trading price at Rs 25,590 per 10 gram. The price increased to Rs 25,680 per 10 gram on Thursday — an increment of Rs 90. This week, the domestic market for gold closed at Rs 25,765 per 10 gram, said NEGOSIDA.
Meanwhile, silver opened at Rs 439 per 10 gram on Wednesday and continued to stay at the same price till the domestic market closed on Friday. This week gold got traded for $1062 per ounce in the international market as the demand for gold in the international marker is still in increasing phase, states NEGOSIDA.
