KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 23

The gold price in the domestic market maintained its upward momentum, rising by Rs 800 per tola on Wednesday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now trading at Rs 166,700 per tola, up from Rs 165,900 on Tuesday.

Throughout the month of Kartik, gold prices have steadily climbed, setting new records in the local market. On Kartik 1, gold was priced at Rs 162,400 per tola, and it surged by Rs 2,000 on Kartik 2. The price rose by Rs 600 on both Kartik 4 and Kartik 5, followed by an additional Rs 300 increase on Kartik 6 (Tuesday).

In total, gold prices have increased by Rs 4,300 per tola so far this month, reflecting global market trend.

Silver has also followed suit, with a rise of Rs 35 per tola, bringing its price to NPR 2,135 per tola, up from NPR 2,100 on Tuesday. Both precious metals are experiencing a consistent upward trend.
