The price of fine gold declined in the domestic market on Monday, falling to Rs 313,200 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
The precious metal had climbed to Rs 316,900 per tola on Sunday, up from Rs 313,400 per tola on Friday, before recording a correction today.
Similarly, the price of silver also dropped by Rs 65 per tola. Silver is being traded at Rs 5,410 per tola, down from Rs 5,475 per tola on Sunday, the federation said.
