Silver also extends losses amid continued price correction
KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 31
Gold price in the domestic market declined further on Wednesday, falling by Rs 1,100 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
With the latest drop, fine gold is being traded at Rs 261,000 per tola, down from Rs 262,100 per tola on Tuesday, the federation said.
The decline comes as part of a continued correction in the bullion market after gold recently hit a historic high earlier this week, failing to sustain its upward momentum.
Silver price also extended its downward trend. The cost of silver fell by Rs 120 per tola on Wednesday to Rs 4,470 per tola, compared to Rs 4,590 per tola on Tuesday, according to the federation.
