Gold rises by Rs 1,900 per tola on Monday; silver also rebounds after recent dip

Gold price in the domestic market surged to a new historic high on Monday, crossing the Rs 260,000-per-tola mark following a sharp increase of Rs 1,900 per tola.
With the latest rise, gold is being traded at Rs 260,700 per tola, setting a new all-time record in the Nepali market, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
The precious metal had earlier recorded a historic price of Rs 258,000 per tola on Asoj 31, which was surpassed on Sunday when gold climbed to Rs 258,800 per tola. The upward momentum continued on Monday, pushing prices to a fresh peak.
Meanwhile, silver prices also rebounded on Monday after a brief decline. Silver, which had reached a historic high of Rs 3,905 per tola on Friday, had fallen by Rs 80 per tola on Sunday.
On Monday, silver prices increased by Rs 45 per tola, rising to Rs 3,870 per tola from Rs 3,825 per tola the previous day.
