KATHMANDU, JULY 22
Prices of both gold and silver surged in the domestic market on Wednesday, with gold recording a sharp rise of Rs 5,400 per tola compared to the previous trading day.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold was traded at Rs 291,000 per tola, up from Rs 285,600 on Tuesday. Silver price also increased by Rs 110 per tola, reaching Rs 4,480 from the previous Rs 4,370.
The rise in domestic bullion prices follows gains in the international market. Reports indicated gold was trading at around USD 4,139 per ounce, while silver stood at USD 59 per ounce.
