KATHMANDU, MAY 21

The price of gold in the domestic market surged by Rs 5,000 per tola on Wednesday, marking a sharp rise after a period of stability.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 189,800 per tola, up from Rs 184,800 on Tuesday.

The price of silver also saw an increase of Rs 50 per tola and is being traded at Rs 1,990 today.
