Gold, sliver prices slump
Kathmandu, October 3
Gold and silver prices declined by Rs 1,500 and Rs 20 per tola over the week, from September 27 to October 2.
The market opened on Sunday with gold price fixed at Rs 51,000 per tola and the price remained the same on Monday.
Bullion price tumbled by Rs 300 per tola to be traded at Rs 50,700 a tola on Tuesday and continued its free fall till Thursday.
The price of the precious yellow metal plunged heavily by Rs 700 per tola on Wednesday to be fixed at Rs 50,000 a tola. On Thursday, gold price again slumped by Rs 500 a tola to be traded at Rs 49,500 per tola and remained unchanged till Friday.
Likewise, price of silver slumped by Rs 20 per tola in the six trading days of
the week.
The market opened on Sunday with silver price fixed at Rs 700 per tola and remained unchanged the next day, Monday.
Price of the white metal went down by Rs 15 a tola on Tuesday to be traded at Rs 685 per tola. Price of silver again slumped by five rupees a tola on Wednesday to be fixed at Rs 680 per tola
and remained unchanged till Friday.
