The price of gold surged by Rs 5,600 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
Fine gold, which was traded at Rs 314,900 per tola on Friday, climbed to Rs 320,500 per tola today, the federation said.
Similarly, silver prices also recorded a notable increase. The price of silver rose by Rs 245 per tola - from Rs 5,740 per tola on Friday to Rs 5,985 per tola on Sunday.
