Waste management initiative launched during 27th edition in Lakeside
POKHARA, JANUARY 7
Gorkha Brewery/Carlsberg Group led a clean environment initiative during the 27th Pokhara Street Festival, in collaboration with the Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) and Bhadrakali Waste Management Pvt. Ltd., aiming to promote responsible waste management in one of Nepal's key tourism hubs.
As part of the initiative, waste bins for bottles, cans, recyclable and dry waste were installed across the Lakeside area throughout the festival.
Bhadrakali Waste Management ensured systematic collection and environmentally responsible processing of the waste, while REBAN mobilised restaurants and bars to adopt cleaner practices.
Gorkha Brewery said the initiative reflects its commitment to preserving Pokhara's natural beauty and supporting sustainable tourism.
The programme is designed as a long-term collaboration to strengthen responsible waste practices, raise public awareness and promote cleaner public celebrations in the city.
