KATHMANDU: As part of its corporate social responsibility, Gorkha Brewery has installed 22 solar street lights and three CCTV cameras in the locality of Bagarkot-Sweti Khola, Dharan.

This is the second phase of the project under the sustainability priority area of Carlsberg Group- Energy and Carbon Commitment, as per a media release. The first phase was completed in April this year where by 21 solar street lamps were installed in the street of Hattisar, Kathmandu.

As part of the Carlsberg Group’s purpose ‘to brew for a better today and tomorrow’, Gorkha Brewery is embedding its sustainable priorities in its local CSR strategy as part of its aim to strengthen a winning culture.

“This initiative of installing street lights and CCTV camera by Gorkha Brewery is aimed to bring about a sense of safety and security, making Bagarkot a preferred destination. The installation of three CCTV cameras in the locality was in collaboration with the local police of Bagarkot.
