Govt support for private sector

Buddhi Raj Bajracharya, minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation said that government would join hands with the private sector to promote business and industry. “Government will leave no stone unturned to support the private sector, for speedy service delivery and effective decision making, minister said speaking at a programme organised in his honour by Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). He also promised to boost the Nepali culture, tourism and aviation industry to lure more tourists in five years time. Umesh Lal Amatya, president of LCCI said that recent political developments had affected business and industry. He attributed the downfall in consumers’ purchasing power, exports and tourists’ arrivals to the political turmoil. Chandi Raj Dhakal, first vice-president of FNCCI said that economy is facing hard time. “Therefore, if we could not improve our business and economic activities, it will give rise to unemployment problems,” said Dhakal, “The cost of transportation have gone up by four times and it might continue to go up,” he added.
