Hamrai Pradarshani begins from today

Kathmandu, March 4:

Nepal Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF) has come up with the second edition of Hamrai Pradarshani under Made in Nepal campaign to promote domestic products and services.

The fair will be held on March 5-9 at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition hall, according to NYEF. Earlier the event was scheduled for February 22 to 26 but postponed due to indefinite strikes in Tarai. Nepali domestic products and services of all categories of industries such as small and cottage, medium and large will be displayed through 80 stalls during the five-day long event.

The exhibition will also feature various industrial activities, process of Nepali industrialisation, and presentation by noted industrialists and experts on contemporary issues and industrial development. Some of the resource persons are Dr Jagadish Chandra Pokharel, vice-chairman of National Planning Commission, Padma Jyoti, chairman of Jyoti Group, Prabin Pandey of Hotel Shangri-La, Anil Shah, CEO of Nabil Bank, Armin Hoffman of GTZ Nepal and women entrepreneur Laxmi Sharma. The exhibition will also have various competitions for school students.

The campaign is a part of promotion of domestic industry, trade and commerce with a view of making them competitive within and domestic markets. The event is promoted by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies and sponsored by Mt Everest Brewery, Himalayan Bank Ltd, Nepal Investment Bank Ltd and Asian Paints, whereas Siddhartha Bank Ltd, NB Insurance, Ace Development Bank Ltd, MEDP and Garud Securities have supported the event.
