Airline marks a decade of international service with high-profile government delegation

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 31

Celebrating a decade of excellence in aviation, Himalaya Airlines operated a special diplomatic flight for Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli and his high-level delegation to Tianjin, China, on Saturday.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Pant, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, Economic and Development Advisor Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada, Members of Parliament, and senior government officials. The delegation is scheduled to return from Beijing on September 3 aboard Himalaya's Airbus 320-214.

Himalaya Airlines President Zhou Enyong personally welcomed the Prime Minister and the delegation on board, while Vice President Vijay Shrestha saw them off at Tribhuvan International Airport. Expressing his pride, Shrestha said, "It is a great honor for Himalaya Airlines to operate a special flight for the official visit of the Head of Government. Himalaya Airlines will continue to uphold this trust to serve the nation with commitment in the years ahead."

The Airbus 319-115 (9N-AJK) departed Tribhuvan International Airport at 07:23 NST and landed at Tianjin Binhai International Airport at 15:15 local time.
