Himalaya’s second flight to Colombo

KATHMANDU: After a splendid success of its maiden flight, Himalaya Airlines has announced its second direct commercial flight to Colombo, Sri Lanka with its new Airbus 320-214.

“This flight has been offered in response to the overwhelming demand of our valuable passengers and the travel trade following the maiden flight,” says a media release issued on Tuesday.

The flight will allow a four-night and five-day stay in Sri Lanka with departure on May 3 from the Tribhuvan International Airport, at 8:30am (local time).

The return flight from Colombo is scheduled for May 7 at 4:00pm (local time). With the purpose of promoting tourism between Nepal and Sri Lanka, the airline is offering the same alluring round trip fare of Rs 55,000 for business class and Rs 35,000 for economy class and has also tied up with leading outbound tour operators of Nepal to promote this package.
