KATHMANDU: With a view to contributing towards informed debate and discussion on key political, social, economic and development issues relevant to Nepal, Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS) has held fourth edition of Distinguished Lecture Series.

The speaker of the lecture was Professor Mahendra P Lama, from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India who presented a paper titled ‘A Lecture on India and Nepal in 21st Century: Aspirations and Challenges’ to highlight the contemporaneous relationship between the two countries joined at the hips.

The function was chaired by former foreign affairs minister Bhekh Bahadur Thapa, as per a media release. The programme was attended by prominent intellects, academicians, experts and foreign dignitaries. — HNS
