KATHMANDU: ION Exchange India (IEI), a water and waste treatment company of India, and Chemtronics Nepal signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday.

Following the agreement, Chemtronics will be authorised to sell and market different products of IEI in Nepal. Speaking at the MoU signing occasion, Dinesh Sadasivan, executive vice president of IEI, said that there is tremendous pressure on available finite water resources in Nepal due to rapid industrialisation, rising population and pollution which need to be addressed.

IEI products range from clarifiers, filters, industrial softeners, chemical dosers, electro chlorinators and package sewage treatment plants, among others.
