Kathmandu, February 4:
Kamran Bakr has been appointed as the new managing director of Unilever Nepal Ltd.
Kamran replaces Rakesh Mohan, who has been transferred to Unilever Bangladesh Ltd as the chairman and managing director. Earlier, Kamran was the supply chain director at Unilever Bangladesh. Kamran has been one of the key person involved in driving the unprecedented growth in the history of Unilever Bangladesh and has been instrumental in transforming the supply chain function into a competitive edge for the company, states a press release issued today.
During his tenure as supply chain director, Unilever Bangladesh became the cost-leader within Unilever South Asia cluster in most leading brands.
Having undertaken major responsibilities including as technical director, he has been associated with Unilever Bangladesh for the last 16 years. He is a chemical engineer from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology, holds an MBA from Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA.
He is also a graduate of Advanced Management Programme, INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
