Kingfisher to fly from Delhi to Mumbai

Kingfisher Airlines, one of India’s new-age private domestic carriers, said it would launch daily non-stop services between New Delhi and Mumbai from today as part of its route expansion plans. The airline, an arm of Bangalore-based liquor giant United Breweries Limited (UBL), will operate five flights daily in both directions, read a statement. With the launch of flights on the New Delhi-Mumbai sector, Kingfisher Airlines will also offer connectivity between New Delhi and Goa, via Mumbai, with two daily flights. One-way fares on the New Delhi-Mumbai route start at Rs 3,399 Indian Currency (IC). The New Delhi-Goa one-way fare starts at Rs 4,699 IC. “With our unique Kingfisher class experience, we will revolutionise business and leisure travel on these routes,” said Vijay Mallya, chairman and managing director of Kingfisher Airlines. With the launch of these new routes, the number of daily flights offered by Kingfisher Airlines — which was launched in May this year — has gone up to 26.
