Labour attachés in Israel, Oman
KATHMANDU: The government is planning to appoint labour attachés in Israel and Oman, thus increasing the number of labour attachés posted abroad. The government appointed labour attachés in Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates last April.
The Ministry of Labour and Transport Management (MoLTM) has got consent from the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to appoint labour attachés in Israel, a destination closed since April 24, 2009, and Oman. “We will appoint labour attachés in Israel and Oman this fiscal year,” said Minister for Labour and Transport Management (MoLTM) Mohamed Aftab Alam. “I will present a proposal for the appointment of six labour attachés in the next cabinet meeting.”
