LAN-AITM, Rice University to launch training initiative

Rice University and Leadership Academy of Nepal-AITM (LAN-AITM) are gearing up to launch an online training initiative in the country.

In this regard, an interactive event was held here recently where a presentation was made on the programme by Michael L Koenig, associate dean for Innovation Initiatives and executive director of Executive Education at the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.

The initiative is a partnership between Rice University and Leadership Academy of Nepal-AITM (LAN-AITM) to provide innovative online and blended education, training and programming, focused on using the most modern technologies, pedagogy and top tier education resources, to accelerate the development of qualified human capital in Nepal and South Asia region, as per a media release.

The event was attended by chief executives and top managers from the banking, hotel and manufacturing industry. The Chairman of LAN-AITM, Sriram Bhagut Mathe and Directors Prithivi Pande, and Dr Arun R Joshi stressed the importance of these types of training to improve skills and competencies in order to prepare the next generation of effective, ethical, and socially responsible citizens and professionals with strong leadership qualities.

The course, which will be offered in three tiers, and in various sectors and audiences, is scheduled to go live by August, the release adds.
