KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 08

Shree New Everest Distillery Industry Pvt Ltd (SNED), BJ Investment and People's South Korea have signed an agreement whereby the distillery of SNED located in Kohalpur of Banke district will manufacture Korean-standard light alcoholic drink 'Soju' and distribute it all over the country in the near future, as per a press statement.

Production and distribution of 'Soju' drink in Nepal has been made possible through the joint efforts of Nepali entrepreneur Rabindra Man Shrestha, former president of NRNA-South Korea Chapter Binod Kunwar and senior South Korean chemist Lim Kyongtek.

Currently 'Soju' is being imported and sold in the country, and the new agreement will ensure the popular South Korean drink is also manufactured within the country.
