KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 25

Lumbini Ceramics Limited (LCL) has been awarded ISO certification for its premium vitrified tiles, Laminar Tiles, making it one of the first Nepali companies to achieve this recognition within weeks of beginning production.

The company received certification in three categories: ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, according to the press release issued by LCL.

The company was incorporated to establish Nepal on the global standards map by adopting strong management practices, corporate governance, and internationally accepted manufacturing norms. The ISO certification has reaffirmed the company's vision and commitment to upholding the highest standards in Quality Management, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health and Safety, the release further states.

LCL's Managing Director, Ashutosh Khetan, speaking about the certification, stated, "This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for our company, affirming our steadfast commitment to excellence across all facets of our operations. Produced in LCL's European-standard facility in Gulariya, Bardiya, Laminar Tiles span across 12.5 bighas and feature over 500 premium designs across four size categories. With advanced manufacturing processes, these tiles offer superior durability, being 99.92% waterproof, non-porous, and highly resistant to scratches and stains, ensuring a lasting aesthetic and strength for long-term use.
