Made in Nepal Expo 2019 from tomorrow
Kathmandu, September 25
The seventh edition of Made in Nepal Expo 2019 is all set to begin from Friday.
Aiming to promote domestic products and services, Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs Forum (NYEF) has been hosting the event since 2006.
According to Nicholas Pandey, president of NYEF, the event has been organised since the last 13 years targeting to promote and expand domestic products by attracting investment and job placement in the country.
“As our country is dependent on imported goods to cater to the domestic demand, it is very important to promote local products in the market. As in the past days, this year also we are organising the event hoping to contribute to the development of national economy with domestic products,” he said.
This year the event will be held with the slogan ‘Aafno Bhanya Aafnai Ho’. The event also aims to spread awareness among consumers to use local products, he added.
Pandey further said that the event will also be participated by small enterprises in order to promote their businesses. “To encourage small enterprises, this year we have included 12 small scale entrepreneurs involved in different businesses,” he said.
As per him, this year’s event will have more than 70 stalls showcasing local products ranging from makeup, clothes, décor and food items. The event will also comprise cultural shows with recreational activities focused on entertaining children.
Organisers expect around 20,000 visitors to observe the two-day expo. NYEF is a forum of young entrepreneurs across the country that has seven branch offices in different districts.
