Mahat undergoes surgery

Kathmandu, April 1

Former finance minister Ram Sharan Mahat underwent a minor surgery today to fix the crack that had formed in his ankle. A crack had appeared on his left ankle after he fell from the staircase of his residence at around 1:00pm on Wednesday.

He was then admitted to Grande International Hospital in Kathmandu.

“Doctors performed a minor surgery on him today at around 8:00am. It was successful,” Ramesh Mahat, nephew of the former finance minister told The Himalayan Times. “Doctors have said they would discharge him after two to three days.”
