KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 14
The Manakamana Cable Car will be closed for three days from October 15-17 for maintenance and cable tightening, according to Ujjwal Sherchan, Deputy Manager of Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd.
The service is expected to resume on October 18. Previously, the cable car service was suspended on October 12 and 13 for the Bijaya Dashami festival but operated on October 14.
The cable car, operational since November 24, 1998, offers convenient access to the Manakamana Temple, a significant religious site in Sahid Lakhan rural municipality of Gorkha district.
Its lower station is located in Cheres, Icchakamana rural municipality-4, Chitwan district.
