Megatrends launches tracking system

Chennai, November 4:

American Megatrends India Pvt Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of US-bas-ed computer solutions firm American Megatrends Inc, has launched a GSM tracking system ‘Falcon-i’.

“Priced around Rs 15,000 Indian Currency (IC) per unit, Falcon-i uses GSM technology

to track a vehicle round the clock. It could be fixed to taxis and goods carriers,” said Jayaram Krishnan, director and CEO of the company.

Once the system is installed, monitoring station records details about vehicle’s location, ground speed, date, time, fuel and vehicle health parameters like engine, fuel temperature and battery voltage. Falcon-i’s geo-fencing facility enables immobilisation of the vehicle when it tries to take a different route.
