KATHMANDU:Centre for Micro-finance Nepal (CMN) will organize the next microfinance summit in Kathmandu from February 14 to 16 next year. The theme of Microfinance Summit Nepal 2010 is ‘Microfinance for Inclusive Economic Growth’.

CMN has set unification of microfinance stakeholders and inclusive economic growth as the objectives of the summit. It wants to improve and increase outreach to all households in need of microfinance services. The sumit will develop a microfinance strategy and action plan, it said.

Microfinance Summit Nepal 2010 will address new issues in the microfinance sector. These include increased funding for the microfinance sector in Nepal, improving the livelihoods of existing clients, expanding outreach, sustainable microfinance practices, incorporation of risk mitigation services and creating a model for value chain finance.
